SOUCY, ARTHUR RICHARD, 65, of West Greenwich, passed peacefully on March 24 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helene J. (Gervais) Soucy. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Florence E. (Galipeau) Soucy. He was a resident of Warwick and communicant of St. Kevin Church for 33 years before moving to West Greenwich. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran, he was a graduate of Roger Williams College with a degree in Electronics. Mr. Soucy worked for Storage Technology Corporation for 25 years in sales before retiring on disability with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in 2002. Prior to his affliction with ALS, he was an avid skier and loved both traveling and boating. Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons, Jim, Arthur, Alfred, all of West Greenwich, and John, of Saunderstown; two daughters, Kristen Rich, also of West Greenwich, and Karolyn Saccoccia, of Warwick; eleven grandchildren; and a sister, Jacqueline Mathieu, of Narragansett.
