Surnames: Roy, Voisine, Desjardins, Emond, Laferriere Classification: Query Message Board URL: <http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AOEBAIB/1246> Message Board Post: Joseph Roy-dit-Voisine and Julie Emond were married on January 8, 1827 in Kamouraska (St. Louis). I am searching for information on their children. So far I have found three daughters: Clementine who married Joseph Saucier in St-Basile, NB on February 1, 1842. Henriette who married Alexandre Levasseur in Frenchville, ME (Ste-Luce) on October 12, 1846. Helene who married Pierre Gauvin in Kamouraska (St. Louis) on February 13, 1854. The possibly also had a son, Joseph Voisine, who married Alphonsine Laferriere about 1867-1868 in Fort Kent or Frenchville, ME, or St-Basile or St-Francois, NB. I am especially interested in a date and place of birth for this son, possibly in Fort Kent around 1841. Joseph Roy-dit-Voisine and Julie Emond do not appear in either the 1840 or 1850 census for the St. John Valley area of northern Maine and northwestern New Brunswick. Yet two daughters married in the region in 1842 and 1846. Did they come to Fort Kent in the early 1840s but return to Kamouraska before 1850? Did one or both die in Fort Kent? I'm looking for three things: The date and place of birth of a son, Joseph. The date and place of death of Joseph Roy-dit-Voisine. The date and place of death of Julie Emond. Thank you.
