      William A. Sussey
      AUSABLE FORKS -- William A. Sussey, 50, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at his home on Route 9N in AuSable Forks after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
      Bill was born May 23, 1950, in Saranac Lake, the son of Augustus and Margaret (Stewart) Sussey.
      He was raised in Saranac Lake and graduated from Saranac Lake High School. In 1980, he moved to Elizabethtown and was employed at C. Wayne Motors for many years. In 1992, he moved to AuSable Forks where he was a working partner at the Town & Country Upholstery Shop with David Rushia until his illness.
      Bill enjoyed golf and being with family and friends. He was loved by many.
      Survivors include his longtime partner, David Rushia of AuSable Forks; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Carol Sussey of Saranac Lake; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Donald Durkee of Lake Clear, Barbara and Gerald Yelle and Karen and Bradford (Jay) Connor, all of Saranac Lake; Lisa and David Voudren of Bloomingdale and Nancy Amell of California; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
      He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Daniel Sussey; and a sister, Mary Estella Sussey.
      Visitation hours were held Wednesday at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Holy Name Church in AuSable Forks.
      Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, AuSable Forks.
